How to keep Fleas off your kitten
|
If your kitten enjoys an outdoor lifestyle, or comes into contact with other cats or dogs that do, then he will almost certainly require defleaing on a regular basis. Fleas can cause all manner of unpleasant ailments, including anaemia and flea allergic dermatitis, and can be a problem all year round if not kept under control. Your vet is the best person to ask regarding a suitable flea control product for your kitten. (Editor's note - I am most sensitive to flea bites, as are my three children. We all come up in welts which itch and itch, and as we are olive skinned the scars are visible for 6 months after. My husband has no such reaction a nd barely notices when they bite him. Needless to say, it is me who ensure that the flea treatment is religiously applied every 4 weeks. However uncomfortable fleas make my cats, they make me even more so.)
