Moving an Injured Cat
If the cat is in the road, move him to the side if it is safe to do so. Try not to aggravate any injuries when picking him up; the best way to do this is to slide a board under him as a makeshift stretcher, or slide both hands under him, keeping him in a horizontal position. A common injury sustained in road accidents is a ruptured diaphragm, so it is very important to keep the cat horizontal to stop his internal organs moving.
